Job Summary

In order to make life sound better for our customers, the Woodshop Production Crew member will be responsible for following and assisting the Woodshop Production Lead in efficiently planning and building high-quality products from wood and other materials. The position needs a highly organized, safety-focused individual, able to assist in the management of multiple projects including retail audio displays, audio system enclosures, and more. This position will require working effectively with various groups including customers, engineers, and vendors.

Hourly, Full-Time, Non-Exempt; Part-Time available for the right fit

Schedule

Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm

Salary Range

$12.00-14.00/hour depending on experience

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assist in manufacturing of products using wood and other materials as specified
  • Operate and maintain woodworking power and hand tools
  • Uphold shop safety, access, and tool accountability
  • Maintain competencies for operations of shop equipment.
  • Assist in planning and building prototypes for testing purposes
  • Uphold manufacturing process as set forth by the Woodshop Production Lead
  • Follow the shop calendar to communicate availability for projects
  • Assist with product development as it relates to woodshop production techniques

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Math skills and concepts required for woodworking such as tape measure use and fraction conversions
  • Follow lead time expectations of internal and external customers
  • Visualize and discuss abstract concepts
  • Able to take instruction and work independently
  • Willingness to cross-train and grow with the company

Education and Experience

  • Production carpentry experience involving manufacturing processes
  • Experience with advanced woodworking tools and methods preferred
  • CNC operator experience is a plus
  • Experience with plexiglass, metals, resins, and other specialty materials
  • Lean and/or 5S manufacturing process knowledge is a plus
  • Project management experience is a plus

Physical Requirements

  • Must have manual dexterity in order to assemble products as directed
  • Must have excellent hand-eye coordination
  • Prolonged periods of sitting or standing and performing repetitive tasks
  • Ability to lift 75-100 lbs
